JAMES AND EMILY MEET OUR PRIMEMINISTER James and Emily are very proud to have met Primeminister John Key at the launch of The Telecom Foundation at the end of last term. MAX SEDDON CUP 2011 Presented to SASCHA VESTY Danyon Loader Presenting Olympic Plaque Danyon Loader visited Room 1 and presented the school an Olympic Plaque and three medals on behalf of The Olympic Schools organisation. The medals will be given to Year 5 and 6 children who demonstrate commitment, fair play and ability in sporting codes. These will be presented at the Sports Awards Dinner in Term 4. BOOKWEEK PARADE/GRANDPARENTS DAY 2011 This year we welcomed large numbers of grandparents to our school for this special event. To mark the occasion we held a special assembly where students entered into the fun of the occasion by dressing as a character from a book and paraded in front of our wonderful audience. This was followed by items from Kapahaka, Band, Puriri Choir, and Recorder Group. Following the assembly students took their grandparents of an extended tour of the school to show them all the wonderful work and activities that happen at Ponsonby Primary. Inner City Swimming Winners Year 4 - 6 SWIMMING SPORTS 2011 Another successful swimming sports event held at Phillips Aquatic Centre. A day for the students to challenge themselves and strive for personal bests. The results can be found on this website under the sports tab. Year 1 - 3 SWIMMING SPORTS 2011 What a wonderful morning where our Year 1 - 3 students enthusiastically competed in the swimming sports. There were definitely some future Olympians among them. |
