Wednesday, 8 September 2010

Rationale:

The school has an enrolment scheme to manage school enrolments to prevent overcrowding.

Home Zone:

The following children will be accepted as of right.

  • Children living within the designated geographic boundaries of the school.

(Students living in the home zone are asked to pre-enrol, to assist the school in planning for any out of zone placements.)

Out of Zone Enrolment:

Applications from out of zone students will be processed in the following order of priority.

  • First priority will be given to students who have been accepted for enrolment in an approved special programme. (This priority category is not applicable at our school.)
  • Second priority will be given to applicants who are siblings of current students.
  • Third priority will be given to applicants who are siblings of former students.
  • Fourth priority will be given to applicants who are children of board employees.
  • Fifth priority will be given to all other applicants.

Each year the Board of Trustees will:

  • Determine the periods during which applications will be accepted and advertise ballot dates.
