Dear editor,

Uniforms should not happen at Ponsonby primary school because We like to express ourselves by showing who we are through our clothes and if the whole school wore the same uniform then how would that work?

Firstly you buy a uniform and have paid a lot of money for it and then you have either grown out of it by the next year so what’s the point? Or you have finished the year and you have to buy a new one because you’re older and older kids may have a different uniform to the kids in the other year.

Secondly when you wake up you like to choose what you wear, unlike a uniform you just keep putting the same ugly tie and skirt or shorts on every time you wake up in the morning.

Finally uniforms should not happen at Ponsonby primary school there for they wouldn’t show who we really are, they are horrible uncomfortable and us kids hate them!!

 This term we have been looking at the  topic Fizzing and Foaming. It has been alot of fun learning about how if you  .                                                                   Art Exhibition 2010 

This term in art our theme was 'summer time' our picture had to remind you of summer time. My friends Melanie and Katie won the art exhibition ( a highly commended award) there picture were very bright, colorful and pretty. My picture was of  a picnic blanket on the beach with shells,plants,flowers and the Ocean. Miss Cowsill told us we had to add some things onto our blanket such as  food a drink a towel and a book we also had to try over lap which means putting something over something els but we had to use scissors which was very very tricky!!!!
