  Pasifika And Grandparents Day

On Wednesday 9th of June our school had a Pasifika and Grandparents Day.  This is when all the students in the school dressed up in bright colourful clothes that remind you of the Pacific Islands.  On the same day the people that could,  invited their Grandparents to school  and gave them a tour and showed them some of their work.  Mrs Malcolm even supplied them with cup of tea if they got tired.   Mr Watson brought in his robot  from Auckland University to entertain us some of the grandparents.  It was a successful day!

MY GREATEST FEAT

Our school has become involved with a promotion from McDonalds called "MY GREATEST FEAT".  Every child in the school has received a pedometer and is asked to record on the My Greatest Feat website the number of steps they walked everyday.  The aim is for the combined number of steps in the school to amount to 16000 km. This is the total number of kilometres that the All Whites will travel to all of their games in South Africa.  It is also the length of New Zealand. www.mygreatestfeat.org

Art

Most students in our class have now finished their T-Shirts for art.  Mrs Malcolm has let us put our disc work into the school art exibition in week four as well.  Don't they look fabulous.
